[Specifications]

Power Supply: 4KV Bug Zapper transformer, ?20? mA
Primary: 2.25" OD PVC, 6 turns of 16AWG PVC insulated wire
Capacitor: 2x30KV 500pF Doorknob caps. 1nF total
Secondary: 6.5" x 7/8" OD PVC. 32AWG Magnet Wire
Spark Gap: Single Static Gap. No quenching. 1/16" Spacing

Description: This coil was literally made over about a week's time over winter break 03/04. I designed it to be aestheticaly pleasing, not necessarily well performing. I also included a Corcom line filter to make it slightly more computer and home electronic safe. Spark gap is made of 3/8" threaded brass rod. Spacing is about 1/16" for optimal performance.

Spark output is maybe 1/2" at best, but it is relatively safe for doing low voltage experiments, and packs a much smaller bite than my mini coil.
